I have never been one to set resolutions for myself. For me, I believe a fresh start can come at any time. You don’t necessarily need to wait for the first day of a new year to decide a new path for yourself to hopefully voyage down.

For this reason, rather than setting a resolution, I pick a word that will represent my year.

This year the word I have chosen is… Intention.

My intention for this year is to put myself first; to focus more on my well-being and health. I suffer from postpartum anxiety and panic disorder, and I would like to really work on managing it. In doing so, I intend to take time each day and set it aside for myself. Time to workout, lounge alone in the hot tub and enjoy a hot shower… ALONE!

I spend so much time focusing on everyone else and their well-being that I forget to take care of a very important person in my life… Me! I plan to change that this year because after all, there is only one of me in life, and I can’t ever be replaced.

I really haven’t made big changes to my life to make my intentions for this year flow. Rather it has been about establishing a good routine and sticking to it. Did you know that for any routine, they say it takes 21 days to solidly stick?

For my family of 6, establishing a solid routine is not only essential for the family as a whole, but also individually. It has taken some adjustments, but I have been able to come up with a wellness routine that allows me to take time for my family while also allotting me time to take care of my own wellness.

If you are like me and struggling with coming up with a good solid wellness routine, then you will want to check out these great tips to help you set awesome daily wellness rituals.

Skip the coffee. If you are like me, you love a good hot cup of coffee or two. Here’s the thing… Try to eliminate the need to have that coffee first thing as you wake up and rather sip a hot lemon water and glowing green juice. Both are proven to help detoxify your body, aiding in digestion, boosting your energy, prevent unnecessary food cravings while also promoting hydration and reducing inflammation. Pretty awesome, right?! Let’s not forget the glow… You want glowing skin. Taking up this regime is a great way to achieve that. Plus, don’t forget that after your morning juice and lemon water, you can totally get away with sipping your morning java.

Hop on the ACV train.  Each day, I aim to take 1 to 2 tablespoons of raw organic apple cider vinegar diluted in a cup of water. Apple cider vinegar helps to maintain your body’s alkaline state. It is a great digestive aid that helps lower cholesterol, boost energy and so much more.

Be physically active. You heard me! Get up on your feet and move around for a minimum of 30 minutes a day. Personally I like to workout 5 to 6 times a week. Whether I turn to the treadmill, Ugi Fitness, Pound Fitness, or simply head out for a walk, I need to be active. Exercise is proven to boost your endorphins, and what better high is there than the endorphin high that follows a good sweat sesh.

Unwind at the End of the Day. Each day I wrap it up taking 30 minutes to myself. My husband hangs out with all the kids, and I use that time to soak in the hot tub or have a hot bath or shower. Seriously – I love to follow up my hot tub sessions with a hot shower to wash all the chemicals off of my body. Nothing beats being able to stand in the shower with the hot water on your back as you breathe in the mind-soothing aromas of my NEW Garnier Whole Blends Moroccan Argan & Camellia Oils shampoo, balm conditioner and oil – a paraben-free haircare blend that is made from natural extracts. I heard the new Legendary Olive Blend is pretty great too! Nothing beats capping off a hectic day with a little relaxation.

Sleep. Aim to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night. Your body will thank you! Sleep can help benefit your weight, mind, heart and so much more. Make sure you take the time each day to get some solid Zzzz’s in.

I have established a wellness ritual that works great for me, and I am really reaping the benefits of it. My mood has improved. I am sleeping better, and more energized during the day. It is funny how making little changes to our day to day routine can really impact how our day flows.

There is no denying that I have found love in the Garnier Whole Blends Moroccan Argan & Camellia Oils blend. The smell of the shampoo and conditioner is so lush and invigorating. A little bit goes a long way, and the aromas are so soothing. I have curly hair, and quite often will either let it air dry or will straighten it. I have found the hair oil really helps with styling by eliminating the frizz and amplifying the shine. My hair has never looked better! The bonus?
