It was around this time last year that I learned of my pregnancy with my fourth.

June 23, 2015.

A day that I will never forget. I was on Day 25 of my cycle. A cycle that typically did not go past 21 days. I had been struggling through some health issues at the time, and pregnancy was not something I had even anticipated being an option. It was just one of those times in my life where I had a feeling though. I knew something felt different. I felt different. Something was up.

I picked up a couple pregnancy tests, and BAM! The results gleamed back at me. I was pregnant. It was such a surprise. A welcomed, happy surprise! Especially given the struggles I had endured trying to conceive my third.

My husband and I were so ecstatic that we were able to grow our family by two more feet just one last time.

There were so many things we looked forward to about having another baby join our family.

Personally, I was quite excited to be able to continue on with my babywearing journey. I firmly believe that there is no such thing as snuggling a baby too much. You truly can’t spoil them. I love that babywearing allows me to do things around my home, freeing up my hands while also allowing me to bond, nurse and stay close with my little one. It also makes for a great low impact way to exercise too!

I have quite the abundant baby carrier selection. A selection that I am excited to grow a little more over the next year. There are so many new brands that I have been excited to try out and new ones yet to be discovered.

One of the more recent brands that I have added to my selection is the Mountain Buggy Juno.

The Juno has seen us through many walks to get coffee from the local coffee shop during those early newborn stages. It has been with us on family outings to the amusement park, ice cream parlours and on family hikes. It has also provided much comfort and sanity on those days when motherhood can be quite challenging. You know the days when baby just doesn’t want to be put down, but you have so much to do around the home.

The Juno comes equipped with a fabulous Juno infant insert. The Juno infant insert provides padded head, neck and spine support for complete infant comfort and ergonomic positioning. The insert features adjustable length to grow with your newborn, using the innovative flip out seat functionality. We were able to start using the carrier as soon as Oakley hit the 7lbs threshold thanks to this wonderful infant insert. My only qualm with the insert is that we haven’t found it to be breathable. So when the weather gets warm be prepared to get a little sweaty!

The Juno offers many innovative features. It has a hands through connection pouch which allows you to enjoy a natural connection with baby while carrying. It has an innovative  width adjustable seat for an ergonomically supported carry. It features a protective hood and stow away pocket, which allows for protection from the sun, privacy and support. Lastly, it has magnetic sternum strap fastening with shoulder strap runners for ease of use.

The Juno can be worn in four different positions all dependent on the age and weight of your infant or toddler. Front face-in, front face-out, hip carry and back carry, All an option. Not often do you find a carrier where you can safely wear your child front face-out. In fact usually, this type of carry is frowned upon. However with the Juno it has been designed for you to enjoy this mode in a supportive and safe manor.

Of course, it is important to remember when babywearing to keep the T.I.C.K.S. in mind:

  • Tight
  • In view at all times
  • Close enough to kiss
  • Keep chin off of chest
  • Supported back

Keeps these rules in mind when babywearing and you will keep your baby not only close to you, but also safe.

Lastly, I was thrilled to learn that the International Hip Displaysia Institute has acknowledge the Mountain Buggy Juno, stating that the Mountain Buggy Juno carrier is a hip-healthy product when used as directed.

If you are pregnant, new parent or simply shopping for an amazing baby shower present, I highly suggest checking out the Juno baby carrier. It is certainly one of the better ones on the market.

Disclosure: I was provided with a Mountain Buggy Juno for review purposes. No other compensation was received. All opinions are those of my own.
