September is a time of new beginnings. The children head back to school. Shortly thereafter the season’s change and the temperatures begin to cool down. Autumn is a time that families find themselves shifting gears and routines.

With all the change, we may forget to take time for ourselves and our families. Whatever you do make it a priority to set some time aside each week to stay connected and bond with your family between school, work and extra curricular activities.

Believe it or not, Autumn is a great time to introduce new family traditions. Make a point to take a hike and enjoy the Fall foliage, make a trip to the apple orchard and pumpkin farm or simply designate Friday night as family movie night… A good time to start the fire, cozy up under a warm blanket and take in some family favourite movies on Netflix.

Some movies our family has recently had the pleasure of enjoying, include:

Lilo & StitchDisney’s song-filled animated comedy follows a lonely Hawaiian girl named Lilo who adopts a funny-looking dog and doesn’t realize it’s a wacky alien.

Freaky Friday: A mother and daughter bicker incessantly until they awake to find they’ve switched bodies, and they each get a peek at how the other person lives.

The Princess & The Frog: In New Orleans during the Jazz Age, a beautiful girl named Tiana has a fateful encounter with frog prince who desperately wants to be human again.

The MuppetsWhen the Muppets learn that their beloved theater is slated for demolition, the gang reunite to raise the $10 million they need to save it.

As you can see, it is hard not to make Friday Night movie night with Netflix when you have so many great family favourites to choose from.

Which leaves me with one question… What are some of your favourite movies to enjoy with the family?
