Something I have struggled with since the birth of Everly in March 2014 is regaining a solid fitness routine. If you know me, you know how much I love and crave my time to exercise. For me exercising isn’t about losing weight. In fact that is the last thing on my mind. Rather I love how working out makes me feel on the inside and out. There is no better feeling than looking in the mirror after a good workout session seeing that sweat glistening atop of my glowing skin. Let’s not forget about that amazing endorphin high either. Exercising is my happy drug. There is no better way to put it. It never fails to relieve my stress and always leaves me feeling happier than ever.

Prior to the birth of Everly, I had it all planned out in my head how I would squeeze in my postpartum workouts once I got the a-okay at my 6 week check-up. Little had I anticipated that my body would take a lot longer to heal than normal, and that Everly would only ever willing nap in my arms. I found myself sitting on the couch pinned under the nursing pillow for what felt like ever. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the snuggles, but sometimes I just wanted to catch a break.

Shortly before Everly’s first birthday, I transitioned Everly to nap in her cribs. While she may not nap in her crib for very long. At least I know I have at minimum 20 minutes of me time. A time I can use to just veg and relax, clean, respond to emails or exercise.

20 minutes may not seem like a whole lot of time to workout, but you have to roll with the punches and take what you can get.

Usually when I’m short on time I will do a workout from TRANSFORM by moveBALL™; a professionally developed home exercise program, by Anita Parker, that provides you with 30 workouts to complete over the course of 30 days. The workouts are no joke. They challenge you and push you to your limits, but what is nice about each exercise is that you can choose the level of intensity that best suits your capabilities.

“The one-month challenge is five cycles of 6 amazing workouts, integrating strength, endurance, cardiovascular, power, agility, and range-of-motion training. You will burn a ton of  calories while you increase strength, improve posture, reduce pain, prevent injury, and boost your energy to a new level.”

The Challenge Kit comes fully loaded with:

  • Three pieces of innovative equipment for home use (moveBALL, Core Ball, Jump Rope),
  • Detailed, full colour workout guide,
  • Daily logbook for maximum accountability, and
  • Video support showing all movements, including options for intensity.

“The Daily Workout Guide and Video Support offer an intermediate level of intensity and complexity, appropriate for someone in good health with a moderate fitness level. However, there are options for more or less intensity every step of the way, so you can get the workout that is right for you.”

Before kicking off the challenge, I took a fitness assessment. On the final day of the challenge, it was interesting to reassess myself to see where I lined up and how much I improved over the course of the 30 days.

I have TRANSFORM by moveBALL™ to thank for helping improve my strength, balance and stamina. The workouts are invigorating, and while some days I could only get through 2 rounds… Hey – I survived!  The rounds of each daily exercise were easy enough that I could break them up and do them individually or all together. Dependent really on how much time I had to spare. There was never an excuse for me to miss a workout. TRANSFORM by moveBALL™ always makes it easy to fit it in. Even if just for 10 minutes.

Before begin the challenge, I never bothered to weigh myself. To be honest, my scale is broken and I would prefer that it stay that way. However, I have noticed that I have toned down and lost inches since completing the challenge. This workout is now my go-to for a quick strength workout. After all we know how important it is that I maintain my body’s strength being that I have a 14 month old to carry around.

If you want to take the challenge or learn more, visit TRANSFORM by moveBALL™ for further information. kit pic Mar 2015 2 small Win the TRANSFORM by moveBALL™ 30-Day Fitness Challenge Kit! I have struggled with getting into an exercise routine. With Transform with moveBALL, I am hoping to finally do that. I just turned 50 and have struggled with my weight for most of my adult life and need to do something.

I love the ease; doing it at home!

Sometimes, I’m just so wiped after my commute on the train, all I want is my jammies! Being able to do this at home, or on the weekend at the gym with my girls, would be awesome!

With my toddler and being a single mom, there isn’t any gym time or a set exercise time. This would be great to have some mommy time when he goes down for the night. Would be a treat for myself that rarely ever happens. It is easy , only 30 days to make a change, hone gym in a box. Thanks

I like the fact that this is physical exercise that is more in my line than dancing around no matter how much energy that might cost. At my age it won’t be easy but I do want to lose some flab and tone up my muscles but don’t fancy signing up anywhere so this is just up my street. I also found out that this is a professionally developed home exercise program.
