Beautiful is the strength it takes to speak a little louder, to stand up for what you believe in and to not apologize for it. And that’s what we want to recognize! The Pantene #ShineStrong movement celebrates women just like you – who confidently and courageously set this example and inspire other women every day to do the same.

To be strong can mean a variety of things. For me one of my strongest and most empowering moments was giving birth to my daughter at home.

Another strong moment was when I joined Rogers Durham and Erica Ehm for a live on-air interview about family travel.

As a part of the Shine Strong movement, I participated in brief 12 question interview. Here are my responses:

Strong is… seizing opportunity no matter how fearful you are of the unknown.

What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done? Giving birth to two of my children at home.

What do you do to unwind? Indulge in a glass of wine and luxurious bubble bath.

What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to learn? To crochet.

How does your BFF #ShineStrong? She always perseveres at whatever is thrown at her. She has this passion for life and it shines strong.

What natural talent would you want to be gifted with? Outgoing, fun-loving with a knack for making people smile when they need it most.

What is your idea of happiness? To be loved and live freely.

What is your motto? Dance like nobody’s watching, love like you have never been hurt, sing like no one is listening, live like it’s heaven on earth.

What is your Ultimate #ShoneStrong hairstyle? Wavy, fun and flirty.

I love good hair days because…. they make me feel beautiful.

Share your tips for strong, healthy hair. Make a point to treat yourself to some “you” time and get some regular trims. Maybe even a colour touch-up if your budget allows.

I #ShineStrong when I….when I push myself to step out my comfort zone and overcome my fears.

Key to #ShineStrong is stay true to yourself – beliefs/manner – find comfort in what you always valued and yearned for and more than anything else be GRATEFUL.

I #shinestrong because I’m a stay home mommy. Before I felt like I wasn’t providing because I don’t have a job but my wonderful hubby told me that I do more then provide. I don’t bring in money but I #shinestrong as a mommy and take care of my girls really well. I make sure they are loved, I encourage them and teach them to observe and explore. I try my best everyday to teach them how to be independent and take good care of them selfs and each other. We learn together, laugh together and support each other. My daughters #shinestrong as well. Thank you.
