Over the last little while my husband and I have been doing a lot of planning and shopping around for our growing family. We have been considering everything from a new vehicle to car seats. To be quite frank – testing out new car seats is what may have finally provided my husband with the realization that we needed a bigger vehicle for our soon-to-be family of 5. I can’t even begin to tell you how much weight that lifted off my shoulders.

During my attendance at BlissDom Canada I had the opportunity to chat with the kind folks representing EvenFlo. I took a lot of information away from our discussions, but not only that I will be forever grateful for our relationship that was formed.

Shortly after the conference I was invited to attend EvenFlo’s Mom’s Mix ‘n Mingle where EvenFlo car seat expert would be in attendance, and I would have had the opportunity to peruse the 2014 EvenFlo product line up. Sadly I wound up sick in bed around the date of the event and was unable to attend. Rather EvenFlo saw this window of opportunity and sent me a EvenFlo Convertible SureRide Titan 65 Car Seat for review.

With a recent change in vehicles I am only now just getting around to sharing my thoughts with you about the car seat. Better late than never I say!

The SureRide Tita 65 is perfect for infants and toddlers.
To meet rear-facing requirements the child must be between 5 to 40 pounds, and 19 to 40 inches in height.
To use this car seat forward-facing the child must be between 22 and 65 pounds, and 28 to 54 inches in height.
I don’t think I could see myself using the convertible car seat with an infant less than 6 to 8 months of age. It’s a personal preference. I much prefer the ease of using an infant carrier car seat with handle. It eliminates the extra fuss of trying to leave the house, and getting the baby in and out of the car.
That aside… I have had my 2 year old son using the SureRide Titan 65. There is no denying his love for the car seat. He is constantly telling me how snug and cozy he is when travelling in the car.

  • Removable cup holder for convenience
  • Up-front harness adjustment for easy access

This car seat that was certainly one that was quite easy to install in our SUV. My husband made mention after replacing one of our old convertible car seats with the EvenFlo SureRide that he was amazed by how much more secure the base of the car seat was. There was no way it was budging or shifting if the driver of the vehicle had to make a quick, sudden stop. This is huge to me! Safety is of great importance, especially when travelling with my family.

Evenflo car seat expert Kyle Bohinc has some car seat tips that he feels all parents-to-be or parents of young children should keep in mind:
1. Weight/Height/Age are the most important factors when purchasing a car seat and deciding when the car seat should be changed from rear facing to forward facing and from car seat to booster.
2. Intended Use: when purchasing a car seat you should look at what you will be using the car seat for. If you will be moving it in and out of the car often (switching cars etc) look for something that is easily moveable (Sure Latch system) or if you will be needing more than one car seat in the car. If so you  may want a slimmer car seat to fit three on one car bench.
3. Type of car: Ensure that the car seat will fit properly in the car you have. The seats may be smaller therefore a slimmer car seat would be best.
4. What is best for the child: For example when buying a booster does your child slump over when they are sleeping? Then a high back booster would be the best option for them.
5. Extras: The last thing to look for when buying a car seat are the extras. If the seat has a fast connector like Sure Latch, if it has cup holders for the children. Etc.
Disclosure: I received product for review from EvenFlo. All opinions are those of my own.
