I have fond childhood memories of heading to the pond with my Dad, and spending hours fishing. It was an amazing way for me to bond with my Dad. Not only that it was a hobby that in and of itself was quite peaceful. After our day spent fishing, we would always head home and enjoy some of our catch. Salmon has always been my favourite. Trout being a close runner up.

I married a man who isn’t all that keen on fish. Given that, I don’t get to enjoy fish all that often. The one type of fish that my husband is open to having on the rare occasion is salmon.

This week I came across two recipes that I think would be a hit in our house…

We love Beef Wellington, but I don’t make it often. A Little Bit of Momsense features a recipe for Salmon Asparagus Wellington on her blog that sounds, and looks absolutely divine.
I always love to incorporate some sort of nice sauce when cooking fish. It helps hide that fishy flavour and tantalizes your taste buds. Be Nice or Leave, Thanks. features a mouth-watering recipe for Greek Yogurt Herb Sauce. This sauce would be paired well with salmon.
Do you like fish inspired dishes? If so, what’s your favourite recipe that includes fish?

I can’t think of a more perfect match than salmon and asparagus (except maybe halibut and asparagus) lol

Thanks, we love all fish really!
