There truly is no sweeter sound to a parent than the sound of their little one’s giggles or full on belly laugh. It’s such an innocent sound that is so pure. It always makes my heart want to burst into millions of itty-bitty pieces of confetti when I hear my little ones laugh. It makes me that happy.
Recently, my 2-year old son took to covering his mouth with his hand as he belly laughs. Promptly after finishing his giggle fest he will chime, “Tam-a-ren, sooooooo funny!”. It is seriously the cutest thing ever!
My son spent most of his infancy suffering from colic and severe GERD. It resulted in lots of crying from him (and well… sometimes… me). When my son turned 9 months old, we finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. It brings me such joy to see what a down to earth and happy little man my son has become.
Although I can say that my daughter took much delight in trying to mimic and mock my son during his infancy. All with good intentions though. She was determined that by mocking him as he sobbed that it would result in him giggling at her humorous and silly behaviour. Not always the case though. Got to love siblings!
Nowadays my house is full of the sweet sounds of laughter, and I couldn’t imagine having it any other way.
Fisher-Price is very excited about the launch of their new Laugh & Learn site!
