What do you know… I’m actually sitting down to write out a post today. This has been one of those weeks where I’ve just had a block. A writers block. My mind has been mush. I have been distracted… You know by all those other things that are oh-so-important… Ahem… Facebook, Twitter. Oh, and my kids!!
However – today I can’t turn down writing about food. I’m a huge foodie! I love to share recipes that inspire me. Recipes that I have tried or are on my must try list.
I know Valentine’s Day was yesterday, but being that it was a Thursday I know many romantics out there may have pushed celebrating the occasion back a day. Who doesn’t want to make a weekend occasion out of lovers day?! In fact… Any weekend is a good occasion to have a hot and steamy date at home with your spouse. Don’t let Valentine’s Day be the cause for you to bring on the charm and wowy zowy!
A date night always needs to start off with a yummy appetizer. Whether it be coconut shrimp, spinach and artichoke dip with naan bread, salad or soup. Warm your heart, mind, body and soul with a delicious bowl of Ginger Noodle Soup a la A Peek Inside the Fishbowl.
Take your time enjoying your soup and embrace in the conversation – and perhaps a little kissy-kissy – whilst your dinner slow cooks in the crock pot. Oh yes. Take the guess work out of preparing dinner and start it in the morning that way you can make the most of your evening and enjoy your company. The Slow Cooker Beef & Tomato Stew from Life In Pleasantville will be ready for your to romanticize your taste buds whenever it tickles your fancy. I bet you won’t wait too long to dive in (no pun intended).
Wrap up your date night with chocolate and a quickie! Jayda Siggers from Eat Whole Be Vital has some delicious ideas for you to indulge in. Chocolate hearts or raw chocolate truffles, anyone?!?
And there you have it the perfect menu for a date night in… If that doesn’t have you reeling for more, then I don’t know what will!
