This past weekend, my family and I had the pleasure of catching a bite to eat at Mr. Greek Express in Scarborough. I hadn’t been to Mr. Greek in years. There used to be a Mr. Greek location in the heart of Whitby’s entertainment and business district… It was my go-to venue for late afternoon lunches on the weekend.

I have to admit I have a weakness for Greek food. Pastitsio. Spanakopita. Gyros. Schwarma. Baklava. Saganaki. You name it. It’s all drool worthy. My tummy is rumbling as I write this post.

Our experience at Mr. Greek Express this past weekend did not disappoint. In fact, I’m still in awe of the amazing service that we received.

The staff was very accommodating from the moment we entered the facility to the moment we left. They saw we were juggling two young children and tried to make our experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I didn’t realize that Mr. Greek offered a kids menu, but they do. The menu features two Greek inspired meals and a meal for all those picky eaters (like my children) – chicken fingers.

As soon as we placed our order at the counter, the staff insisted that we go find a seat and that they bring  us over our dishes to us once they were ready. We didn’t have to wait very long for our meals to be cooked, plated and served.

I ordered the Saganaki and Authentic Chicken Gyro Pita. My husband opted for the Chicken Greek Wrap. Our meals were delicious. We did have one minor mishap during lunch. My daughter spilled her apple juice all over the booth and table. The staff didn’t put up a fuss. They quickly helped to clean up the mess and even offered to replace my daughter’s juice at no charge. AH-mazing service!

Mr. Greek Express prides themselves on offering quick service in a family friendly environment! Not only that they offer healthy, delicious meals that will suit the taste of any palate and any age.

The Mr. Greek Mediterranean Bar + Grill would be an amazing venue for a private dining function or better yet, a date night. The Mr. Greek Mediterranean Bar + Grill, unlike Mr. Greek Express, features a full bar and serving staff.

All Mr. Greek locations also offer take-out, catering, call ahead ordering with great value and flexible menu choices.

My family and I loved our experience at Mr. Greek and will definitely visit Mr. Greek again in the future.
