Winter is around the corner and let’s face it as the colder months hit our skin begins to enter that blah stage. The colder months can cause the dryness to come out in our skin. It may cause flaking and/or irritations. In my husband’s case, the colder months bring out his eczema.

We are a house that hoards lotions during the Fall  and well into the Spring. Every room of our house has a bottle. Sometimes several of various different brands.

I’m always skeptical to try new brands of lotion as my son and I both have sensitive skin. My husband on the other hand is all about trying new lotions and trying to find a brand that soothes his eczema the best.

I recently had the opportunity to review George’s Cream.

George’s Cream was created over 15 years ago by George Doherty. Would you believe he used his wife’s cake mixer to create George’s Cream in his kitchen? Well ladies and gentleman, he most certainly did! He was looking for a way to help people combat their severe dry skin from the harsh winters. Being that it’s a home grown formula, George’s Cream has gained a reputation in the western provinces of Canada for controlling dry, itchy and scaly skin. George’s Cream is a non-prescription therapeutic skin moisturizer.

What I love about the cream is that it’s formula has no additives and is fragrance free. Using the cream did not cause any skin irritations, which was an initial worry of mine. My husband loved the product so much when I was testing it that he took it with him to work without telling me. I thought I was going crazy after searching my house high and low, and turning up with nothing. Suffice to say that my husband loves George’s Cream. It has done wonders soothing his eczema.

My daughter has even tested it. She had dry skin in her hair line. I dabbed a bit of the cream along her hair line for a few days, and would brush her hair out after the cream soaked in. After a few days of treatment the dry skin flaked away. Problem solved.

If you’re looking for a new lotion or hand cream to try, check out George’s Creams. You can even enter to win a George’s Cream Prize Pack below.

It can’t have harsh chemicals as I am always with my baby and would not want to pass anything onto him.
