I’m a Momtographer. I’m very camera happy. I take thousands of pictures a year. One would think given how many digital photo files that I have accumulated that I would be on top of getting them printed whether it be on canvas prints or in photo books. Sadly, this is one thing I’m guilty of. I haven’t developed any prints since my daughter was 6 months old. Yes, I know. I deserve a good slap on the wrist.
When Printcopia contacted me to ask if I would be interested in reviewing one of their products, I was all over it. The only problem was how was I to decide which picture to have developed on to a beautiful canvas. Did I want to develop a landscape shot from one our many trips to Mexico or the Dominican? One of my wedding photos? Maybe even a newborn picture of one of my children? I opted against all of those alternatives and decided to have a 5 generation photo of my Mom, Nana, Great Grandma, Daughter and I developed. Only difference was that I decided that rather than having this canvas print developed for me that I would pass it on to my Mom for her birthday.
The beautiful sentiment to the 5 generation photo is that all of the original family members are still around to cherish it. My Great Grandma is 91 and doing better than she ever has after suffering countless strokes over the years. My Nana sadly developed Lou Gehrig’s disease last year and while her health is ailing, she is a fighter. This will be a photo that my Mom can hang on to and cherish forever. True beauty is everlasting, and that is exactly what this photo is… beautiful!
The canvas is high quality and can easily be mounted to the wall. While the canvas print, I received won’t be mounted to my wall! I have many photos in the back of mind that I know I will be soon printing on canvases. Canvas prints add a creative flare to a naked looking wall in any home. So why not dazzle your home up a bit with some of your most cherished family photos!
