Summer is all about creating long lasting memories. Summer camp is the perfect way to do just that!

I have such fond memories of my times at summer camp. I still remember the first time my Mom enrolled me in an overnight camp. I was far too nervous prior to arriving at camp, so my parents had made arrangements to pick me up and bring me home to sleep; dropping me back off the next morning. I was having far too much fun exploring the wilderness, participating in sports and crafts to want to head home… but alas I did. I bunked in my bedroom in a sleeping bag (just like at camp). I barely slept… I was super stoked to head back to camp the next day. It was truly an amazing experience and I made so many friends. Your child can too!

Circle Square Ranches are life changing camps for kids and teens! They are a part of the ministry of Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship of Canada and are dedicated to meet the needs of children and youth across Canada.

I was always too much of a homebody to go to camp. I do hope that my kids get to experience it though, because it is something that I regret not doing

I didn’t really go until I was older – like Grade 6+. My oldest had his first “non-family” sleepover with his Beaver’s (scouting) group a few months ago and doesn’t want to go again. LOL. I hope he’ll change his mind when he’s bigger he’s going to want to go to camp. I think it’s an important part of growing up!

We have a bible camp close to my hometown. I got to stay there once for Brownies and another time for a school trip. Never did stay for an actual camp experience through the actual camp (their summer programs). It was fun to attend though. I was scared at first to stay but it was a great experience once I settled in.

I attended summer camp too, have fond memories and not so fond (like the time I caught some weird hives at camp)! Great post and exciting contest thank you for sharing!
