We’re self proclaimed beer connoisseurs. We’re also lovers of chili. Can you imagine a meal combining the two? How delicious would that be? Our vote goes to super-de-duper yummy!

A few weeks ago I busted out the crock pot and made a Chicken Beer Chili. I knew going into dinner prep that the meal would either be a hit or miss. I’ve never made a meal with beer that hasn’t been a hit, so I had high hopes.
The beer chili turned out amazing. It had amazing flavour. It wasn’t spicy. The kids dug it. My husband loved it!

If you’re looking to spice up your chili repertoire… give beer chili a try!
1/2 lb. ground chicken, browned and seasoned salt and pepper
1 large onion, chopped
1  can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (14.5oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
4 oz. tomato sauce
1 bottle of Beer (I used Keystone Light)
1 beef bouillon cube
1 tbsp Garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder

Brown the ground chicken in a pan. Season with salt and pepper.

Dice onions and place in the crock. Add in black beans and diced tomatoes. Next add the tomato sauce, bouillon cube, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin and chili powder. Finish off by pouring in a bottle of beer. Lastly stir in the ground chicken.

Cook on low 7 to 9 hours.
