We are now over half a month into the new year. My goals are all well into motion. Some going a lot smoother than others. With determination I will see to it that all my goals are accomplished or damn near close to it. My main goal has been to start living a healthier lifestyle. A lifestyle that entails eating healthier, being more active and staying fit. I’m not necessarily looking to lose a ton of weight. Well… I am, but that’s not what is important to me. I want to tone. I want to say buh-bye to Mommy Tummy. Y’know that excess pooch that just hangs on after having children.
Last week I stuck to my fitness regimen. I fit in a workout in the morning and afternoon. I remained somewhat accountable food wise. We did eat takeout on a few occasions. We opted for healthier options as opposed to fast food.
I’m really beginning to like and appreciate the girl staring back at me in the mirror each day. I haven’t felt this happy or fabulous in quite some time.
The saying goes:
“It takes 4 weeks for you to start noticing changes.
8 weeks for family/friends.
12 weeks for the world.”
I can already say that I’ve noticed changes. I’m starting to tone. My skin colour has this new glow. I’m a lot more energized. I don’t crave sweets as often as I used to. Huge deal for this chocoholic!
It has been a great week for me. Bring on this week! I’m excited to see what it has in store for me. Challenges and accomplishments. Let’s do this!
