Woah. What a weekend. The wee boy wound up coming down with a fever on Saturday afternoon. He was full of crank, wouldn’t sleep and just wanted Momma. The Beco was out in full force. If it wasn’t for that I would have accomplished nothing. Zlich!
Saturday night I began to feel the wrath of whatever this nasty bug is that is going around. I had chills, hot flashes, dizzy spells. I went through phases of nausea and calm. It was brutal. I went to bed around midnight (shortly after getting the wee boy to sleep finally). I woke Sunday morning to razor blades in the my throat. Awful feeling.
The third Sunday of November is always a special day for our little family. Full of memories. We watch the Toronto Santa Claus Parade, decorate our Christmas trees and enjoy a small turkey dinner. On Sunday, November 16, 2008 my husband and I found out we had a little bundle on the way while watching the parade. It’s a moment we cherish. That’s why this tradition is so meaningful to us.
Despite feeling like a bag of crap yesterday, I sucked it up and put on my biggest smile for the kids. We had a fabulous day! I love sharing in their excitement. Cadence is really starting to get into the holiday spirit this year. It amazes me how much my little girl has grown up!
I’m going to try to keep this week’s meal plan as easy as possible… We’ll see if I can keep it up!
