- A group of my girlfriends got together and arranged a shopping trip to Niagara Falls, NY on the weekend. I took this shopping trip as a chance to take my mind off of everything that has been going on recently, and take a much needed break. My friends had a lot of fun with me, as I was a cross-border shopping virgin. They couldn’t believe it. I ended up buying a few cute outfits for C, and picking up myself a cute summer dress. I can’t wait to go back again one day. It was definitely worth the trip!!
- Since C was a newborn, I’ve found that the only way I’ve been able to get ready in the morning has been to bring her bouncer chair into the bathroom while I shower. The sound of the water used to lull her to sleep until she became way to alert and curious – and rather started playing the whole time. Last week when I was having a shower, I heard C start screaming… but the only difference was it wasn’t her usually happy, playful scream. I peeked out of the shower to see my lil’ monkey trying to climb out of the bouncer. She was dangling upside down. Holy heart attack, let me tell you! This little bambina really wants to get moving. I ended up storing away the bouncer chair, and I’ve since set-up the playyard in our bedroom.
After all this I went on to the company website for the bouncer chair to check age restrictions, and it says its recommend use is for newborns to 11 months. I think I might just send them a little email indicating that my 7.5 month old was able to wiggle and climb her way out of the chair, so that they might want to consider adjusting the recommended age gap. Usually I’m not that anal, but when it comes to the safety of infants – I can’t help but be.
