Fall is one of my favourite seasons. It is a time when can welcome all things pumpkin spice, boots, over-sized sweaters, and let’s not forget the changing Fall foliage.
What I don’t look forward to about Fall is the drastic changing temperatures. One day the weather is almost Summer-like, and the next it is frigid cold. I am all for enjoying the crisp Fall air. It is the extreme shift in temperatures that I don’t enjoy. I’m sure my thermostat will agree too. It seems to overworked lately between having switch between heat and air conditioning.
The change in seasons also marks the start of cold and flu season, and if you are an allergy sufferer like me, you may also find those to be aggravated right now too. Quite honestly, I am at the point where I don’t know if what I am feeling is a cold or allergies. This time of year is bad for me allergy-wise.
To help lessen the blow of cold and allergy season, we use the Dyson Humidifier, and we use it often. For the most part, I keep the Dyson Humidifier in my bedroom where I co-sleep with my infant. We are the ones who tend to be most affected by the dry air and other sinus irritants that can come with season change.
Most cringe when they hear we use a humidifier daily. Fearing that it would be a unit that would harbour germs and spread bacteria. But – no! It is quite the opposite in fact.
What I love about the Dyson Humidifier is that it uses Ultraviolet Cleanse technology which works to kill 99.9% of bacteria in the water while projecting clean, hydrated air evenly throughout a room without the use of blades. The Dyson Humidifier also features Intelligent Climate Control which allows it to measure both the temperature and moisture in the air to create a comfortable environment.
Did I mention that the Dyson Humidifier is also super quiet? It happens to be so quiet that you wouldn’t even realize it is there. Sleeping with it in the bedroom is so peaceful. You don’t even hear so much as a hum from the unit. I love it!
Plus, I am also able to set a sleep timer on the unit, so I never have to worry about forgetting to turn it off! However, I wouldn’t have to worry if I hadn’t set a sleep timer because the unit would shut down after 18-hours of continuous use.
The Dyson Humidifier also comes with a remote control which is magnetized so it can be stored right against the unit. The remote allows you to have precise control of the airflow settings. However, I have to say the unit is pretty good at measuring temperature and humidity, and accurately controlling the climate. I have never run into the issue of having an over or under humidified room.
It is safe to say that I have found love with my Dyson humidifier. It has really contributed to lessening the symptoms I experience due to my allergies. Not only that I have noticed that it has helped soothe the symptoms related to any colds my children have ever-so graciously brought home from school so far this year. While I may keep the unit in my room overnight, there has been many a time as of late that I have brought it down to the great room during the day to bring relief to one my sickies.
If you suffer from eczema, dry skin, allergies, blocked sinuses or are at increased risk for catching the cold or flu, I highly recommend introducing a humidifier, like the Dyson Humidifier to your home. It may be an investment, but it will be one that you and your family will truly benefit from. I know my family has!
