A breakfast that I often flock to is oatmeal. I love my oatmeal. What I don’t love is how long it can take to prepare on the stove top. Who has time to stand around on a busy weekday morning waiting for their oats to cook? Certainly not me!
For this reason, I had developed a bad habit of flocking to packaged instant oats. A habit I have been trying to break.
My approach to breaking the habit has been by preparing overnight oats.
Over the past year, I have played around with the ways I prepare my overnight oats. Sometimes I would find the recipe would turn out and other times it would be a disaster. Yes, even recipe fails happen in a foodies kitchen. It is inevitable.
However, I have come to find that one recipe I turn to time and time again is my recipe for Brown Sugar and Raisin Overnight Oats. It is infused with brown sugar, raisins, chia seeds, yogurt and oats. Providing you decent serving of your daily fiber, and ensuring that you are fueled to take on the day ahead in no time at all!
