It has been a work in progress over the past few weeks, but I am happy to announce that Domesticated Momma is now a publisher on Yummly.

If you haven’t heard of Yummly before, it is a great place to search for recipes. You can break down your searches based on your personal tastes, diet, allergies, time, price, type of cuisine… ensuring that you find recipes that best suit you and your family!

If you are a blogger and looking to become a publisher, the process is really quite easy.

  1. Start by installing the YUM button to your blog. I did this by adding the button through the Shareaholic plugin on WordPress.Becoming a Publisher on Yummly
  2. You will also need to install the Yummly plugin.
  3. After you have installed your required plugins, head over to Yummly and make an account, if you haven’t already. Once your account is open, you are ready to start YUM-ing your recipes.
  4. Head on over to your blog, and hit the YUM button to feature recipes in your recipe box. It may take a few hours to a few days from this point for your publisher page to be created. You will know your publisher page has been created when your recipes, look like the photo below.Becoming a Yummly PublisherIf you have not been approved as a publisher, your recipe will read “Read more by visiting {your blog name}”. If you find a few days go by and your publisher page has not been created, simply email support@yummly.com for assistance. It is that easy. I had to do it, and once I did my publisher page was created in less than 48 hours.
  5. After your publisher page is created, be sure to share the news on your blog… Whether it is in a post similar to this one or by simply making a blurb about it in the next recipe you feature on your website.

The process is that easy!

So as I said above, if you happen to see a recipe on Domesticated Momma, like this recipe for Crock Pot Fusilli alla Carbonara for instance, if you like it then YUM it to save it to your Yummly recipe box.

Happy YUM-ing!
