You have heard me mention in quite a number of my posts over the past few months that my all day sickness has been getting the best of me. And, there is no denying that it is wearing me down. The porcelain gods seem to be my new best friend.

While I may not enjoy all day sickness (who does?), I have to say it brings me much comfort. It is just one more sign alongside those precious baby kicks that everything with baby is a-okay. With my history and my family’s history, I need as much comfort as I can get. Especially during pregnancy.

For this reason, I have just had to learn to manage this pregnancy symptom. I am currently at the stage where I should be weaning off diclectin. For awhile there I was and it was going really well… Until it hit me like a ton of bricks again. The all day sickness. So back up the dosage of diclectin went. While it may not take away the nausea. It rids of my desire to dry heave or vomit.

As a result of the nausea, I often find myself not wanting to eat or being averse to many different foods. The one thing I have been able to stomach is my daily ND Shake.

I have made a point of preparing myself an ND Shake for breakfast each more to ensure that I get all the nutrients, plant protein, fiber and vitamins that my body requires. Of course, I also take a prenatal vitamin, vitamin C and B12 daily, as well.

The breakfast shake that I have recently fallen in love with is my recipe for an Eggnog Breakfast Shake. It is a drink that could be enjoyed warm or chilled. Personally, I prefer it warmed because well – it is like a warm hug on a chilly day.
