Apple-Berry-Protein-Smoothie (1 of 1)

Eating properly in the morning is so essential to starting the day off right and helps curb those dreaded 3pm snack-attacks.

One of my favourite foods to eat in the morning is cottage cheese. Cottage cheese is packed with protein and calcium. In fact… Did you know that 1/2 cup of Nordica Cottage Cheese offers 15 grams of protein that is also low in fat.

When it comes to cottage cheese, I will usually grab a spoon and just enjoy all of it’s deliciousness straight from the tub. However, when I’m feeling wild you will find me adding cottage cheese to such things as my smoothies. Many people look at me sideways when they find out that I put cottage cheese in my smoothies, but trust me when I say you don’t even notice it. The smoothie maintains it’s great taste. The cottage cheese enhances the creamy texture, and contributes to helping you stay fuller longer.

Apple Raspberry Protein Smoothie
Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almond Milk (Coconut Flavour)
  • 3/4 cup sweetened Apple Sauce
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1/4 cup Gay Lea Nordica 2% Cottage Cheese
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to blender. Blend until smooth, and serve immediately.
