Let’s be honest, shall we. The holidays can bring with it a lot of stress! Whether it’s pre-planning, travelling away from home or hosting others in your home, there can be  a lot of added stress that comes along with the festivities. Trust me – I get it!

Both my husband and I have divorced parents, which means we have that many more Christmas festivities to attend and / or host each year. Add 3 kids to the mix, and you have the recipe for chaos.  Thankfully our parents are quite understanding, and we try to spread out our family gatherings over the weeks leading up to Christmas. In fact, we celebrated our first Christmas with my Dad at the end of November.

I find by spreading out the visits that it prevents the kids from becoming overstimulated, and eliminates some of the stress that my husband and I would probably have otherwise felt.

When it comes to Christmas Day, we make that day strictly about our little family. We don’t have any visitors. We don’t travel anywhere. We just enjoy our day at home, opening presents, playing with new toys and enjoying each others company. There’s no need to worry about our parents fighting over whose turn it is to spend Christmas Day with the grandchildren either.

As much as I love Christmas though, there are times that I wish we didn’t have to celebrate 5 Christmases each year. It really adds up, and can wear you down. This is why I am thankful that Orange Naturals has many supplements that can help the family deal with stress.

My children can get wound up during the holidays.     5 Christmas’s? Wow. Plus three kids. Yep…that’s s heavy load. In addition to good nutrition and vitamins, you should also try aromatherapy. It’s a wonderful self-help stress solution. Good essential oils to try are lavender to unwind and peppermint for extra energy. Stay safe and healthy!

    We have a busy Christmas day, but Boxing Day is strictly for spending the day in our jammies here at home. Happy New Year, Nicole! Wishing you a wonderful 2015.
