With the holidays quickly approaching, I am finding myself spending a lot more time in the kitchen. Not just for baking or cooking up holiday feasts, but rather preparing DIY edible gifts.

Last year I got in the habit of gifting edible gifts to my family. These gifts were the talk of the town… er…. at least the talk of our family.  Especially the Homemade Irish Cream that I whipped up, and I will be whipping up again this year.

Homemade Irish Cream is something that is quite simple to make. All you need is a blender, mason jars, and:

  • 1 2/3 cup Irish whisky
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 300 ml can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp instant coffee granules

This recipes would pair great with Two-Layer Cookie Crunch Fudge, Reindeer Munch, and many other great Kraft Canada Edible Gift Recipes.

Speaking of edible gifts, join me on December 10th at 9PM EST for a Twitter party with one of my favourite brands – Kraft Canada!

The #KraftEdibleGifts Twitter Party is being hosted by @KraftCanada, and moderated by @mychaos, @bitofmomsense, @shasherslife and myself, @adomesticmomma.
