The Summer seemed to slip on by at an incredibly rapid rate. Do you agree?

It feels like just yesterday I was picking my daughter up from her the bus stop for the last time for the 2013-2014 school year with nervous anticipation of the Summer ahead. How was I going to manage for the next 9 weeks with a baby, 3 year old and 5 year old at home?!? It seemed so daunting.

Quickly I found out that as the weeks passed us by that it wasn’t hard at all. Aside from dealing with daily fights between my eldest two children, it’s been quite fun. We have made a lot of memories.

The Summer gave me the push to come out of my shell. I started heading on outings with all 3 of my children. Alone! I never thought I would see the day. We started off with brief quick jaunts to the grocery store and quickly thereafter we found ourselves heading on hikes, visiting the local parks and other fun local attractions.

One of my favourite memories of the Summer was when we took my kids to visit Optimus Prime at Primitive Designs in Port Hope. My kids couldn’t believe they had the opportunity to see an autobot in person and get up close with it.

This Summer also found me spending a lot of time at the dentist. Seriously. I am not kidding when I say that I got to the point that I was living there part-time through the month of July getting that beautiful smile of mine worked on.  I certainly wasn’t smiling when I had two of my wisdom teeth pulled though. Ha.

A week after the procedure I found myself at the Katy Perry concert in Toronto. I seriously don’t even have enough words to express how much fun this night out sans children was. It was a blast!

This weekend, I will be wrapping the last weekend before back to school spending time with one of my best friends from high school. She is getting married in October. I can’t wait to shower her in love and excitement of her upcoming nuptials!
