The week of May 19 through May 26 of 2013 marks Canadian Infertility Awareness Week.

I know many friends who have dealt firsthand with infertility. Some of these friends have gone on to have children of their own, and some sadly will never be able to have children of their own.

I’ve embedded a video below that I encourage everyone to watch. Take a moment to watch and try to understand a fraction of the emotions that those with infertility struggle with on a day-to-day basis.

As someone who has been blessed with two children, and is now faced with secondary infertility I can appreciate the message behind this video.

Sending huge hugs to all of my readers, friends and family who have struggled with infertility.

My brother and sister-in-law are facing this right now. Fortunately, they live in Quebec where IVF is provided for!

Um this is the first I heard that you had infertility. Thanks for sharing. I wish I had known this earlier in the week. I could have used you for a campaign I was doing blogger outreach on. Can you email me to chat about future stories? Inkscrblr@rogers.com

I can’t even imagine the heartache. I also know a number of people who struggled to conceive, some without success, some with, often after spending thousands of dollars trying. Hugs to you.
