Bagels are a total weakness of mine. They have been since my adolescence. There is nothing I would enjoy more than kicking off each morning enjoying a delicious Dempster’s Bagel.
Dempster’s Bagels are made using special ingredients and an authentic baking process. They are sold in a variety of flavours, including: plain, whole wheat, blueberry, cinnamon raisin and sesame. Visit the Dempster’s website to view their full line of products. My personal favorite is the Dempster’s Thin Bagels. Low fat and low calorie! Perfection.
Dempster’s provided me with a KitchenAid Architect 4-Slice Bagel Toaster in the summer. Let me tell you, I have never had a bagel toast as evenly as it does with the KitchenAid Architect Toaster.
I love to dress up my bagels. Anything to escape the ordinary butter or cream cheese. One of my favorite ways to eat a bagel is to make a tuna melts out of it.
Whole Wheat Bagel Tuna Melt
1 Dempster’s Whole Wheat Bagel
1 and a 1/2 slices of hot house tomato
Tuna salad (I take a tin of tuna and mix with a bit of fat free miracle whip)
2-4 slices of mozzarella cheese
Fat Free Miracle Whip
Toast your bagel.
Coat your toasted bagel with a light layer of fat free miracle whip. Top with tomatoes, a thin layer of tuna salad and mozzarella cheese. Place your open faced bagel on a baking sheet and broil until the cheese is bubbly.
Remove from oven, sandwich it and enjoy.
How do you like to eat your bagels?
