I love to start my mornings off on a happy note. Who doesn`t?! I’ve never been a huge lover of breakfast, but I know it’s important in getting a healthy, energizing start each day. Breakfast is what really sets the motion for our day. It gives us the fuel to push through.

I may not be a lover of breakfast, but one thing I do love is a delicious, ice cold and frosty smoothie!  What could be better?! It’s packed full of healthy ingredients. It’s simple to prepare and perfect for those who need to “eat” on the run.

Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup ice
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
1 banana
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
1 cup coconut water (sometimes I’ll use apple juice)

Directions
Add ice, berries and banana to the blender first. Follow with remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Cheers!

I’m not much of a breakfast person either. I always make sure I have something but it’s normally toast and peanut butter or a protein bar. I’m not sure if I’d like cold oatmeal. I do like oatmeal cookies…..

Oh this looks yummy! I have a different recipe for an oatmeal smoothie that I’ve made before, but mine doesn’t include the strawberries, I think I’ll be trying yours soon! 🙂

I eat cereal every morning. I mixed my good ol’ all bran bran flakes with another cereal. I am a ol’ woman and need my fibre. hehe! This smoothie sounds interesting. I should give it a try. But we never have ice in the house. Maybe I will use frozen fruit instead of that.

I hardly ever eat breakfast – just coffee and I know that is very bad. Maybe smoothies are the way to go. Thanks for sharing and BTW, where do you find coconut water?
