St. Patrick’s Day is known widely for consumption of green beer in celebrations of good Irish cheer. Let’s face it though… not everyone digs beer! I’m not one of the non-diggers, but there are many who just don’t feel it.

Did you know that there are many other drink varieties that you could toast with?! Non-alcoholic and many other various cocktail “potions” of sorts. Something sure to please everyone.

Emerald Isle
  • 1 oz gin
  • 1 tsp green creme de menthe
  • 2 dashes bitters
  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Grasshopper

  • 3/4 oz cream
  • 3/4 oz creme de cacao, white
  • 3/4 oz green creme de menthe
  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Mojiito
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 6-8 mint leaves
  • club soda
  • 1 lime, halved
  • 2 oz light rum
  • mint sprig for garnish
  • Preparation:
  1. Place the sugar, the mint leaves, and a little club soda into a highball glass.
  2. Muddle well to dissolve the sugar and to release the mint flavor.
  3. Squeeze the juice from both halves of the lime into the glass.
  4. Drop one half of the lime into the glass.
  5. Add the rum.
  6. Stir well.
  7. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  8. Add the rest of the club soda.
  9. Garnish with the mint sprig.

Please remember if you drink… please do so responsibly and don’t drive!

Cheers!
