I’m somewhat speechless. Somewhat in awe. Experiencing a bit of a holy fuck moment. A moment where I might actually be a bit teary. I’m overwhelmed. I’m overwhelmed by the support. I love how all the hard work I’ve applied to this blog over the past 3.5 years is finally paying off.
2011 was a huge year for Domesticated Momma. I brought Domesticated Momma from mediocre to something that I could actually say I was proud of. Of course I’m always going to be my worst critic. Heck, I’m the face behind my blog. It’s only normal to be my biggest opponent and biggest fan. Two extremes.
I review my analytics quite often. Given my background in marketing and human resources, I’m always assessing ways to improve and brainstorming new ideas to put into motion. Today when I was reviewing my analytics something popped out at me. Domesticated Momma had over 1,000 pageviews and it’s only half the way through the day. I know numbers aren’t everything, but hot damn! I’m feeling proud. I’m on cloud nine. I’m finally getting it right and I’m getting the results.
Personally, I don’t think I ever could have made it this far without the guidance of previous colleagues: Steve Douglas (The Logo Factory Inc) and Ann-Marie Burton (momstown.ca). Sure I learned a heck of a lot in college, but I find I acquire a lot more knowledge by learning from my peers. The 2011 ShesConnected Conference is something I was very lucky to have attended. I acquired a vast of knowledge, made many new friends and expanded upon my credentials. Thank you Donna Marie for selecting me as one of the top 200 influential digital women this past year.
I’m truly grateful for each and everyone of my peers and my fabulous blog readers! Without your support and dedication, I’d never have come this far! You’re helping me live my dream. My passion for social media is vibrant and exploding.
Love to each and every one of you,
