How is it Friday already!? This week zipped straight on by. What are your plans for the weekend? Anything special?

Whatever it may be… you should add this meal – Fussili alla Carbonara – to your plan. It is perfect for those with a hectic schedule or just looking to relax. Who doesn’t love a little bit of relaxation?! It’s very easy to prepare and very comforting. That being said I will attest to this meal not being a completely healthy choice. So if you are looking for healthy, then this meal may not be one that you want to try. I don’t make it often, so it’s a nice meal for me to enjoy every once and a while on a cheat day.

Ingredients
Bacon (1 pkg)
Fusilli
2 tsp liquid chicken bouillon
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 cup parmasean cheese
2 egg yolks
2 tsp garlic powder

Directions
Cut up bacon into bite size pieces and place into crock pot. Try to separate the bacon pieces as much as possible. You don’t want them to clump together while cooking. Cook on low 7 to 9 hours.

During the last half an hour to 45 minutes of cooking turn the crock pot to high. Add in the bouillon, red pepper flakes and garlic powder.

Boil your water, and cook your Fussili. I cook about half a bag. Boil until pasta is al dente. Drain. Mix egg yolk and parmasean cheese with pasta. Once evenly coated, mix in bacon. Do not drain the fat. Mix it all into the pasta. This is definitely NOT a low fat meal.

Let stand 5 minutes and enjoy!
