A little over a month and a half ago, I found out that I was selected to attend the upcoming ShesConnected Conference in Toronto on September 29th and 30th. When I submitted my application to attend the conference back in June, not once did I ever think I’d be selected to attend… So when I received the news, lets face it… I was ecstatic!!

For those of you wondering… What is ShesConnected all about?
“We created the ShesConnected Network four-and-a-half years ago to help you connect with other women and organize your busy life. Now, we’re giving you an opportunity to increase your influence by building relationships with Brands face-to-face.” Donna Marie Antoniadis, CEO & Co-founder of She’s Connected.

The 2nd annual ShesConnected Conference will bring together and connecting influential digital women and brands. This conference is the only conference of its kind, offering an interactive and unique forum. The conference is sponsored by many great companies, including: LifeChoices, Ford, STLTO, Booty Camp Fitness, Purdy’s, Nokia, Toshiba, Adult Essentials and many more.
I have to admit with the conference now only one sleep away, I am feeling a little uneasy. Don’t get me wrong. I’m super excited to be attending, but at the same time I can feel my stomach flip flopping. I have had my moments where I’ve thought about backing out. Like I just won’t belong. However, I’m feeling much more relaxed after reading the following blog posts: “What People Think…” – a bear, a ladybug & a peanut…?! and ShesConnected Conference: Let The Sweating Begin” – Shasher’s Life. It makes me realize that I’m not alone, and like me… many others are nervous too!

I’m sure when tomorrow comes, and I arrive at the conference… I will feel a little taken back and nervous> The feeling probably won’t fade until I take the plunge and introduce myself to other attendees. Heck the very idea makes my stomach turn. However, I’ll wear my best smile, and get through it. It’s going to be an awesome few days!! A great learning experience. I can’t wait to connect with so many like-minded digital women and brands. It’ll be nice to finally put faces to names.
So if you see me at the conference, don’t be shy to come say ‘hello’. I promise I won’t bite (unless you ask!). Heh.

Wow! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a completely different topic but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Wonderful choice of colors!
