I had my 34 week appointment with the midwives’ today. Little Miss C is still breech. I can’t say that I am surprised. Whilst I have been keeping my fingers crossed that she would turn on her own by this appointment, I had a strong feeling going into it that she wouldn’t. It seems the baby keeps going from footling breech to complete breech. The midwife was a tad concerned because when she put the fetal doppler on my abdomen Little Miss C started to move around frantically. The midwife chose to chase her with the doppler to try and read what the little one was trying to do. It is an excellent sign that she is so active, but what the midwife wants to determine now is if something is blocking her way from turning to the head down position on her own.
I have been scheduled in for an ultrasound on Friday to confirm fetal position. I can’t say I’m complaining, I’d love to see my little one again. If the results come back from the ultrasound that she is in fact breech, then I will be booked into meet with an Ob at the hosptial to discuss the External Version Procedure and C-sections. Don’t make the same mistake I did and Google ‘external version procedure’… It doesn’t sound pleasant at all. Eeeps!
Keep your fingers crossed that Little Miss C chooses to turn on her own within the next 2 weeks!
